Position Summary:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships works
closely with the department head and focuses on driving the relationship with
select Strategic Partners partnership, ensuring alignment, execution of
corporate initiatives, and extending support to both the internal and external
teams while driving customer-obsessive execution. This position requires
executive presence, experience working with CXOs, strong discipline around
process, approach, and execution while working with internal stakeholders, and
will also be responsible for providing balanced support to external partners.
The Director of Strategic Partnerships will take a global and cross-divisional
purview on opportunities as there will be important prioritization and regional
focus when appropriate in order to be effective. This role may at times support
internal alignment only or a mix of internal and external engagements. The
Director of Strategic Partnerships must be capable of working with minimal
direction, acknowledging the need for help, working with tight deadlines, and
enjoying an entrepreneurial environment. This position will ideally be located
in the Seattle area/West coast although will consider strong candidates from
anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage Strategic Partnerships;
this includes managing engagements in a multi-disciplined approach while
being proactive and reactive to balance alignment in order to successfully
drive opportunities into engagements or effectively close out
opportunities
- Identify, define, and manage strategic
initiatives based on company strategy, individual company strategy and
strategic insight from both internal and external stakeholders
- Manage new business development within new or
existing business domains
- Initiate, consolidate and develop strategic
and executive briefing documents
- Capture and distribute meeting notes, action
items, and track progress weekly/monthly
- Work alongside the team in maintaining
records, files, meeting coordination and other support requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications required:
- Experience with partnership management and
strategic opportunity evaluation
- Demonstrated experience with cross-functional
alignment of internal teams and external companies
- Strong teamwork skills with a history of
getting buy-in from a broad set of stakeholders
- Proven track record of handling multiple
projects from inception to final delivery and managing the need at times
to close out projects
- Strong strategic, “out of the box” thinking,
attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Experience creating business plans, business
proposals, executive briefing documents or other types of planning
documentation
- Experience working on complex multi-time zone
projects
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and
presentation skills
- Proficiency within Microsoft Office, including
PowerPoint and Excel
- Domestic and International travel may be
required up to 50% of the time
- English proficiency
Preferred Qualification & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience within
the software and/or IT industry, gaming or other technology industry
- 5+ years of core sales, channel sales,
industry or solution selling, business development experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing,
Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 9+ years
of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business
development experience
- OR Master's Degree in Sales, Marketing,
Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 7+ years
of core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, and business
development experience.
- Consulting firm experience
- A clear understanding of projects requiring
Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence
- Previous experience selling Cloud Services,
Azure, GCP, AWS, and/or other cloud platforms
- Previous experience as an Alliance Manager for
a System Integrator, Managed Service Provider, or Independent Software
Vendor
- Microsoft, AWS, GCP Alumni
- Experience with product development including
but not limited to IT infrastructure, content service, or consumer
packaged goods
- Previous work experience in engineering,
software development, and/or another technical field
- Proven track record of driving revenue
generation
- Experience reviewing, understanding, and
negotiating business and technical contracts
- Experience quickly and effectively becoming a
subject matter expert in new technology or industry
